The show was conceived by Professor Vanessa Toulmin, Director of the National Fairground Archive in Sheffield and one of the worlds leading experts on the history of the art form. It was performed at The Roundhouse in London as part of The Roundhouse Circusfest 2012. The Main Space was transformed into a timeless village green for a magical immersive carnival experience that celebrated the golden era of circus.
Freya performed character work and solo Cloud Swing for The Insect Circus, descending 17 meters from the dome of the roundhouse onto her swing.
